The Pump- November
On October 1, 2013, the United States Federal government entered a shutdown that lasted just over two weeks. In that time, 800,000 employees were out of work, and a lot of others were forced to work without pay. Now that we’ve had some time to let the government shutdown sink in, let’s reflect how it affected the trucking industry.

Diesel Exhaust Fluids Updates
The Integer Meeting for DEF was held in Atlanta this past week on October 21st. Integer reported the 2013 North American DEF volume finishing at 215 million gallons. Truck companies are putting approximately 30,000 new SCR medium and heavy-duty trucks on the road every month in addition to the 900,000 SCR vehicles currently in operation today.
